Nwabuzor Chinweike Malachy is a visual artist and art therapist. A degree holder in Fine & Applied Art. Malachy is also a tutor, illustrator, painter, cartoonist and a sculptor. He enjoys working in both digitally and traditional art and have undertaken several art projects and commissions, he uses art form to impact lives and serve the general public.
Working as an art therapist has helped me reshape my view in art as a way to bring healing to people going through difficult times mentally. As an art therapist in Maple art therapy my goal is to use my several years of experience and creativity in the mental health field to offer a resounding therapeutic art experience to our clients using various medium in treatment method, for both clinical and non-clinical settings.
Dumebi Okuagu is an artist, who got his degree in psychology and went ahead to marry the two to become an art therapist. His passion for art dates back to his school days where he just had JAMB pencils and any white paper to capture the heart of anyone who cared to see. He later went on to become an artist and has since made a career out of it, never failing to create beautiful stories on canvases, walls, white papers, and so on. He hails from the south eastern part of Nigeria, Anambra state.
Dumebi Okuagu describes himself as an ever evolving artist and has a passion for mental health and wellness.
Onyendi Chukwudi, MFA, holds a Masters degree in Fine Art; currently pursuing a Doctorate in Fine Art in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. For some time he has been engaged in art practice, art teaching and art therapy. He has worked with patients with issues of addiction and abuse. He has been with Synapse (Oak) as an art Therapist, deploring expressive art therapy techniques for mental health improvement.
